What to Expect Your First Year of Piano Lessons
If you’re just beginning to take piano lessons, it’s important to know that it takes time to learn this amazing skill. Whether you enroll in piano lessons for all ages, children, or adults, there are many things to learn. First, you’ll discover the basics such as how to sit at the piano correctly and how to position your hands. You’ll also learn about how to touch the keys the right way and which keys are for which notes. If you don’t know how to read music, that’s one of the most crucial skills you'll gain as part of your piano lessons. From learning how to understand the inherent structures of music to playing entire songs, the process takes time but it’s definitely worth the journey. It’s recommended that you take lessons at least once per week and try to practice for at least 10-20 minutes each day.
Once you enroll in my piano lessons for all ages, you’ll discover how to play simple musical compositions with both hands from your very first lessons. Over time, your coordination will improve, and you’ll develop a strong foundation that you can build on for the future. With perseverance and patience, you’ll be an amazing piano player before you know it! Remember that no one is an expert piano player overnight. However, with an open mind, determination and a positive attitude, you’ll be a piano-playing pro in no time.
